Papaya is designed to give a playful private summary without leaving traces beyond your device. This document explains what we collect, what we don’t, and what control you keep.
Papaya processes microphone and motion data only on your device. Sound is reduced to a single intensity number per audio buffer; original audio frames are read into memory and immediately discarded.
Saved summaries contain only aggregated metrics — duration, peak intensity, motion score, rhythm, silence share, playful distance rating, and per-second intensity line. No conversations, words, or media are saved.
Papaya never saves original audio. Papaya never uploads session data to any server. Papaya doesn’t require an account, email, or any ID. Papaya doesn’t use third-party analytics, ads, or tracking SDKs.
Papaya never shares your data with anyone — simply nothing to share.
Any saved summary can be deleted from its screen. The settings screen also has a “Delete all summaries” button that erases all summaries from this device.
You can revoke microphone and motion sensor access anytime in iOS settings. After revoking, Papaya won’t record sessions until access is granted again.
Microphone access is used only to calculate sound intensity. Motion sensor access is used only to calculate motion intensity. Both work only during an active session and stop as soon as the session ends or the app goes to background.
Papaya is for users 18 and older. We deliberately don’t collect any data from anyone — including minors. If you think a minor used the app, just delete it: there’s no remote profile to clear.
If we change how Papaya handles your data, we’ll update this policy in the app and raise the “Updated” date. We’ll notify you of major changes at first launch after the update.
